Floating Dresser SOLD
Tall custom made cherry dresser
Product details
I must first, state that this piece hasn't any metal parts at all! All the cherry was handpicked for color and grain.
The sides of the dresser are held into place with sliding dovetails, jointed to the top and bottom.
The top and bottom are then jointed to the side rails, by hand cut dovetails.
The rails are then attached to the legs, using through, tenons and held in place with ebony (Pharos Gold) splines.
On the side panels there are small impressions of a carved lily on both sides, inspired by my granddaughter "Lilly"
The stiles and rails separating the drawers are you guest it, sliding dovetail joinery.
The drawers are also full through dovetails, sliding on dovetail tracks on each side of each drawer.
The handles are kingwood, and truly unique as they are held into place with, (yep) hidden dovetails joinery, hidden from sight, and tested to with stand close to 1000 lb's of pressure in any direction. The back is solid wood cherry, recessed panel construction, held into place with bloodwood exposed dowels.
I live with piece, and every time I passed by, it calls to me, and I bathed in the calmness that exudes from this piece.
Truly one of a kind
I live with this piece, and every time i past it, it calls to me, and I bathed in the calmness it exudes.
